Positive: Amazing place that feels like home! If you‘re looking for a comfortable stay in Huaraz, I can highly recommend Qumir Packers. It is very central, close to shops and restaurants and the host Humberto is very helpful if you need advice on hiking trips etc. Bonus points for the cute hostel doggos :))

Positive: Humuerzo the owner was really kind, friendly and helpful, and assisted with hiking in the area. The dorms were clean and I loved the small courtyard to hang out in, in the sun (or shade).

Positive: This was my second time in Qumir Packers. It was a great experience! The host Humberto is really nice and helpful. The room was clean and the kitchen well-equipped. The hostel has a big beautiful garden with a chill out area with nice sofas. I would really recommend it!

Positive: The hosts are here to help with whatever, Umberto is absolutely fantastic. They are very knowledgeable about climbing, hiking and mountaineering and the different options in the huscaran park and around. Whether you are looking for the touristic stuff or the more adventurous alone hike they will ne able to guide and they don't sell tours so you actually get genuine opinions as directions (which can be hard to get in huaraz). The hostel feels more like staying at a buddies place than an actual Hostal. It is super homie, super comfy, super Cosy. Full with climbers and nature lovers. Adrenaline seekers will be more than welcome but also people that are here to chill and rest. The kitchen has everything you will need. There are more bathrooms than needed and they are being kept clean. The lockers are absolutely gigantic which is great if you want to empty your whole backpack to go on long treks. The price is way under what it could actually be. Anyway overall the greatest Hostal I've stayed out in central and south America.

Negative: A towel could be included. No big deal but always nice.
